Meetings:A monthly meeting is the main point of contact for members of the Wollongong Probus Club. The club meets between 10 am and 12 noon on the fourth Monday of each month in the Polish hall at 143 Gipps Road Gwynneville. The hall has a good public address system so that even those hard of hearing can understand what is being said.
The meetings provide an opportunity for members to enjoy each other's fellowship informally over a tea or coffee before the more formal part of the meeting commences. Each meeting commences with a brief information session to advise members of coming events and this is followed by a short (10-15 minutes) talk by one of the members. A guest speaker takes the floor for the second hour of the meeting to talk on a topic of interest to the members. Audio/visual equipment is used to enhance presentations by the guest speakers. In February 2023 Members of The Keira Probus Club merged with the Wollongong Probus Club which increased the numbers to just under 90. Guest speaker topics cover a wide range of subjects as shown in the list below: Medical:
